What the masterclass covers

The PRIME Feeding Method Masterclass provides a full-day immersion in the PRIME clinical framework for infant feeding assessment. The day is structured as a clinical training event with presentation sessions, case-based discussion, and dedicated time for questions.

You will leave with a thorough working knowledge of all six PRIME assessment domains, a documented approach to case formulation using the framework, and practical tools for applying PRIME in your area of clinical practice.

The masterclass is designed for clinicians who already have a working knowledge of infant feeding and want a more consistent, structured, and communicable framework for assessment.

Who this masterclass is for

IBCLCs, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, midwives, and paediatricians who are actively involved in infant or paediatric feeding assessment.

A working clinical knowledge of infant feeding is assumed. This is a clinical training event, not an introductory course.

This masterclass is also relevant to clinicians who assess or treat tethered oral tissues and want to situate structural findings within a broader functional assessment framework.

Format and what is included

The masterclass runs as a full day of live online teaching on 22 September 2026. The format combines structured clinical presentation, case-based small-group discussion, and dedicated Q&A sessions.

About us

PRIME was developed by Kate and Justin Roche, specialist clinicians with backgrounds in infant feeding, tongue tie assessment, and clinical education. We have worked with hundreds of families and clinicians, and we built PRIME because we wanted a framework we could teach — one that was structured enough to be consistent and flexible enough to be clinically useful.

We are committed to raising the standard of infant feeding assessment across disciplines, and to giving both clinicians and families the knowledge they need to make good decisions.
